 Vintage 1900's Photograph Book with photographs around Le Havre. The Cover Reads Souvenir du Havre ND. PHOTO. It is 7.00 inches long and 4.50 inches wide, as you can see the cover has come unglued, discolored and does have rounded corners and a couple small tears. On the back there is a sticker as shown in the pictures. The pictures themselves is also discolored and corners bent and there is no mildew smell to this piece.  Other then the first picture it with a slight crease, the photo booklet looks like it was never read, The pictures are titled in French and English and there are 18 various pictures from Ships to Light Houses and everything in between. Below are then Title of page, Description of the picture and English Translation.

1911 Anniversary Republic of China 1961 stamps.  These are 4 cent stamps.  Greeting card sent by the Maori queen of New Zealand Dame Te Atairangikaahu (who died in August 2006).  Plain cream card with gold coat of arms on the front, a greetings wish in Maori on one side of the interior, and a greetings wish in English on the other.   Handwritten brief message, signed Te Ata (an abbreviation of her full name).  Card measures 18 cm by 11.5 cm (7 inches by 4.1/2 inches). 

Probably dates from 1960s-70s. Very good condition.  Paper and Ephemera lot of 12 pieces There are 2 little victorian children 2 and 3 inches high, Separation of Friend card 1 1/2 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide, Advertising card Switzerland, Swiss Castle Brand, 2 1/4 inches high and 3 inches wide, An early gift card 2 inches high and 3 inches wide, Rewards of Merit card 2 1/2 inches high and 4 inches wide, photo card City Gates St. Augustine, FLA. 2 3/4 inches high and 4 inches wide, Teacher card 4 inches high and 2 7/7 inches wide, Florida window sticker 4 inches high and 2 7/8 inches wide, Early Currier and Ives Holiday money card 2 3/4 inches high and 6 1/2 inches long, and an early photo of Memphremagog House, Newport, Vermont with the menu and ad dated May 15, 189, 5 inches high and 4 inches wide. A great lot sold as found.  Thomas Cook & Son: 2 stationery from 1905 and 1915. Decorative head with their old logo. Slight change of design, the 1915 letter paper announcing the Panama-Pacific Exhibition in San Francisco in 1915.


The letter from 1905 is hand written, the testimonial (certificate) from 1915 is typed and a 1 Crown revenue stamp has been attached.


9 x 11,5 inches, fine condition. (The scans don’t show the complete sheets, which are slightly larger).


The still existing Thomas Cook Group was founded by Thomas Cook (1808 – 1892) of Melbourne, Derbyshire, England.


The company was nationalised in 1948 as part of the British Transport Commission.

Vintage State of New Jersey, City of Jersey City, Gold School Bond.  This historic document, a $1,000 gold school bond, was witnessed on June 1, 1912.  The mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, in 1912 was H. Otto Wittpenn.  The signatures for the mayor and city comptroller on this document are partial due to the cancel punch holes.  55 coupons attached to this bond were destroyed and documented by the city comptroller July 14, 1915.  First stamped registered holder on the back was Royal Indemnity Company of New York, Nov. 27, 1915; last stamped registered holder entered was C.A. England & Co., May 5, 1937.  This school bond measures about 10 inches by 15.25 inches when fully opened.  Fine condition.

This unopened deck of Bee #97 Club Special Pinochle playing cards with #67 back were made by the United States Playing Card Company of Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1970's. 

Bee Playing Cards are a casino card brand. They were first manufactured by Consolidated-Dougherty in 1892, hence the number 92 on the Ace of Spades (the standard poker deck is now known as deck type 92); the USPC acquired the company soon after. Bee playing cards have a diamond back, typically blue or red, though casinos frequently use customized Bee cards featuring a logo added to the backs. 

The United States Playing Card Company, started in 1867, produces and distributes many brands of playing cards, including Bicycle, Bee, Hoyle, Kem, and others, plus novelty and custom cards, and other playing card accessories such as poker chips. The company was once based in Cincinnati, Ohio, but is now headquartered in Erlanger, Kentucky. It has been a subsidiary of Jarden Corporation since 2004.

In new condition in their original sealed packaging they measure 2 5/8 inches by 3 5/8 inches.

The images depict the juvenile Jesus, Mother Mary of the Holy Family.


They are from app. 1910 – 1920.


The largest is 2,5 x 4,4 inches, the smallest 2 x 3,6.


No tears or foxing, minor wear.  This card game of Flinch, comes in it's original box, was manufactured and copyrighted by the Flinch Card Co. of Kalamazoo, Mich. in 1903 and is complete with all 150 cards and the Improved Rules for Playing Flinch which proclaim it The Acme of Parlor Games...more simple than Authors, more scientific than Whist. 

The card game Flinch was invented in 1901 by A.J. Patterson. It is played with a custom deck of 150 cards consisting of ten sets numbered from one to fifteen. 

In good + condition there is some age wear to the box, marks on the cards,  out of which one 3 card has a corner missing and tears in the instruction book, all of which I have shown in my pictures and they measure 2 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches.

The sticker on the front is dated 1973 and states that the paper is licensed by Cameo Exclusive Products. Mint condition. 

 This sealed package of American Greetings gift wrapping paper depicts Kewpies with birthday cakes, presents, and Happy Birthday cards in pink and pale tan-gold. There are two sheets totaling 7.9 square feet. The sticker on the front is dated 1973 and states that the paper is licensed by Cameo Exclusive Products. Mint condition. 

 A sealed pack of 1970s Holly Hobbie all occasion gift wrapping paper by American Greetings. There are 2 sheets totaling 7.9 square feet. Holly is shown playing with her pets and dolls in the kitchen, in the garden, and at the beach. Mint, unused condition. Four packages are available, price is per pack. 

 This package of 1973 Kewpies gift wrapping paper by American Greetings is presumably for baby showers - it features a sweet print of Kewpies with a baby wrapped in a yellow blanket. The yellow background with faint, subtle white flowers is suitable for boys or girls. The pack is open at the sides but both sheets totaling 7.9 square feet are present and uncut.

 Two packages of vintage 1970s gift wrapping paper by American Greetings featuring Holly Hobbie. The package with the red, white, and blue patchwork fabric theme has been opened. Inside is one full, uncut sheet measuring  30 by 20-1/2 inches and a smaller piece 6" by 20-1/2".  The other package features Holly with her pets, dolls, in the garden, and at the beach is still sealed and has two sheets totaling 7.9 square feet.

 This is an original copy of the 181st Annual Commencement from Columbia University on June 4, 1935.  The program lists all of the graduates for the year, as well as the degrees and majors for each.  It consists of 89 pages with a soft cover.  Although the cover is soiled from age and has a few stains, the binding is strong, with no rips or tears.  The inside pages are clean, as is the separate booklet that is included in the sale entitled "A Much Needed Prayer", which is a written copy of the address delivered by Nicholas Murray Butler at the 181st Commencement.   A deck of unique commemorative playing cards from Catonville Community College, Catonville, MD.  The deck was made in 1982 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the college.  Each card contains some useful information regarding the college including policies, phone numbers, campus map, bus routes, etc., as well as pictures of members of the administration.  The deck contains a standard 52 card deck, as well as 2 jokers and 2 index cards.  It is in excellent condition.

Vintage Hand Held Fan advertising Singer Sewing Machine Company, decorated with flowers. Made in Japan. 8-1/4 inches tall. Paper fan with wood spines. Some edge wear. Estimated date 1935.  June 3, 1893 edition of the "Live Stock Record" from Lexington, Kentucky.  It is volume 37, No. 22, of this newspaper. The tag line reads "Devoted to the Interests of American Live Stock.  The newspaper is intact and in good condition, however, it is becoming brittle with age and it has a water stain on the left side and is creased from being folded for the last 110+ years.  October 29, 1908 edition of the "Semi-Weekly News" from Huntingdon, PA.  On the front page it lists the candidates for the upcoming elections including the Presidential Race between William H. Taft and William Jennings Bryan.  The newspaper is intact, however, it is becoming brittle with age and does have some wear and a tear down the front where it was folded for the last 100+ years.  A wonderful piece of history!Oct.  May 18, 1906 edition of the "The Commoner" from Lincoln, Nebraska.  The owner and editor of this newspaper was William Jennings Bryan, who went on to run against William H. Taft in the 1908 Presidential Election.  Most of the articles contained in this newspaper, though unsigned, were known to have been written by Mr. Bryan, himself, including his speeches.  The newspaper is in very good condition however, it is becoming brittle with age, has some wear along the edges and a crease where it was folded for the last 100+ years.
